Flower Girl: Wedding Day

Standing in a plain slip against a sketched wedding venue, a small figure waits when Flower Girl: Wedding Day loads, and the first pick is usually the dress, where choosing a fuller skirt over a simple shift changes what shoe and accessory options make sense with it.

Dresses range from a simple sash-tied shift to a tiered tulle skirt, and hair options include a low braid with baby's breath tucked in or loose curls under a flower crown. The basket she carries comes in a few shapes, from a woven cone to a small round one, and can be filled with petals that match the dress color or contrast against it.

Building a look around a child's role in a wedding rather than the bride herself is the angle this wedding dress up game takes, so the goal is coordinating with an implied bridal party instead of standing out on her own. A finished look gets shown against the ceremony backdrop, dressed and ready to walk in.

Coordinating the petal color in the basket with a detail in the dress, like the sash or the trim, pulls the whole look together more than picking them separately. A simpler dress reads better with a fuller hairstyle, and vice versa, so it helps to settle on one busy element and keep the rest plain. Trying the basket against a couple of dress options before locking in the hair can save a mismatch that only shows up once everything's on.
