Try matching the cape color to the emblem before touching boots or gloves, since a mismatched trio reads as three separate outfits stitched together. Boots and belt in the same shade anchor the costume at the bottom half, which matters more than it seems once the cape is flaring out behind. The tint slider is easy to miss under the cape row, but it saves a lot of individual re-picking once the base costume is set.
