Every accessory, top, and shoe sits inside its own sealed layer at the start, so you don't know the shade until you scratch, peel, or shake the wrapping open.

Once the pieces are revealed you sort them onto the doll like any other makeover game, mixing whatever colors came up into a finished look.

The surprise mechanic means two playthroughs rarely land on the same palette, since the order pieces unwrap in changes which colors are even available to match.
