What is DIY Paper Doll?
The craft comes first: the figure and its clothes are cut out, colored and decorated with pens, stickers and tape, then the tabs are folded and the outfits fitted onto the doll. Backgrounds can be made the same way.
Making the pieces before using them changes the relationship to them, since the outfit you cut out yourself is the one you want to use. It is also a genuinely different set of skills from a rail-based dresser. Calm, creative and a nice change of format.
