The screen opens on a 3D girl standing in a soft-lit room, and your first job is picking a base outfit from a row of thumbnails at the side. Tap one and it snaps onto the model right away, turning with her when you rotate the camera. Dress up-3D beauty works like a makeover game in three dimensions, so instead of a flat paper doll you get a figure you can swing around to see the back of a dress or the side of a hairstyle. Early on I just spun her in a circle dragging pieces on to see what stuck.

The thing this one has that flat dress-up games don't is the free camera. A dress that looks plain from the front might have a bow or open back you only catch by rotating around. When you are happy, the round basically ends with you admiring the finished look from your favorite angle, since it is about the styling itself more than scoring points against anyone.

To get a good result, dress the outfit first and pick the hairstyle second, because long hair hides collar shapes. Turn the model before you commit to a dress, since the back view is where the detail lives. And keep makeup light when the outfit is already bold, or the whole look gets noisy fast.
