The game opens on a princess standing in an empty dressing room, wearing a plain base outfit, with a row of category icons down one side of the screen. Your first job is the gown. Tap the dresses icon and the panel slides open with a grid of skirts and gowns; tap one and it appears on her instantly, so you can flip through the whole row in seconds before anything else is decided.

The wardrobe covers the usual royal ground: ball gowns in satin and tulle, simpler day dresses, a cropped bolero that sits over the shoulders, gloves, tiaras, necklaces, earrings, and a few shoe styles from flats to heeled slippers. Hair comes next to the dress categories, with a couple of updos and long flowing styles. Most pieces layer the way you would expect, so a necklace sits on top of a neckline and a shawl covers sleeves, and you can swap one layer without losing the rest.

The twist here is the layering order itself. In a lot of princess dress up games the gown just snaps on and covers everything underneath, but this one lets you keep pieces visible, so a belt over a skirt or a jacket left open changes the whole read of the outfit. A round ends when you tap the done button, which shows your finished look as a full framed portrait you can compare against your last attempt.

Start with the dress and leave the shoes for last, because the hem length decides whether flats or heels read better. Pick hair before jewelry, since an updo shows off earrings that long hair hides. And check the tiara against the hairstyle: some crowns sit oddly on big curls, and a slimmer headpiece fixes it.
