Minnie Mouse Dressup

Minnie stands center screen against a plain backdrop when Minnie Mouse Dressup opens, and the first pick is usually the dress, since her signature bow needs a base color to sit against. Choose a red polka dot dress and a matching bow appears on her ears before the accessory row is even open.

Options split into dresses, bows, gloves and shoes, with a few full outfits thrown in as one-click sets. A polka dot dress sits next to a striped skirt and a plain yellow one, bows come in solid colors as well as patterned versions, and white gloves layer over any sleeve length without covering the cuff underneath.

The decorating touch here sits more in the bow and glove combinations than in the dress itself, since those two small pieces usually separate one finished look from the next in a dress up game like this one. A session ends with Minnie posed in the finished outfit against the backdrop, framed like a still, not a runway walk.

Pair the bow's color to the dress instead of its pattern, since two different polka dot scales next to each other look busier than a solid bow against a print. Keep the gloves white if the dress already carries a bold pattern, since a colored glove on top of that reads cluttered fast. Pick the shoes last, since a few styles only pair well with certain skirt lengths and are easier to judge once the dress is already on.
