Monster High Christmas

Gothic details are already scattered across the dressing room in Monster High Christmas, a spider-shaped ornament here, a bat clip there, before you even open the wardrobe. The first pick usually lands on a dress, and choosing a deep purple or black one over a plain red sets the tone the rest of the look follows.

Outfit racks mix velvet dresses and plaid skirts with skull-shaped buckles, striped tights and platform boots, all layered over a plain slip so any top piece swaps out without starting over. A hair shelf offers a high ponytail or loose waves, and an accessory row holds a spiked choker, a bat-shaped clip and a strand of tinsel to finish either style. Dark lipstick and winged eyeliner round out the face once the hair is set.

A typical dress up game keeps its holiday pieces cheerful, but this one lets a spiked choker and a strand of tinsel sit on the same accessory row as a bat-shaped clip, so the finished look can lean sweet, spooky or both at once. A round ends with the styled character posed under a string of purple lights, the look saved as a finished portrait.

Choosing one gothic anchor piece, like the spiked choker or the black lipstick, and building the rest of the outfit around it keeps a look from turning into a costume grab bag. Pale foundation reads stronger against dark lip color than against a bright one, so pairing those two first is worth doing before picking a dress. The tinsel accessory sits in its own small tab apart from the main accessory row, and it is easy to finish a look without ever noticing it is there.
