What is Movie Star?
Movie Star drops a young actress into her dressing room before a big premiere, and the first job on screen is usually arranging the room itself, a mirror, a rack, a vanity, before touching her outfit at all. Placing a lamp or a mirror in a corner changes how the whole scene reads before any clothing choice happens.
Furniture and props sit in one set of tabs, armchairs, clothing racks, vanity tables, string lights, while her wardrobe sits in another: a sequined gown, a tailored blazer over a slip dress, strappy heels, a clutch bag. Jewelry and a final coat of lipstick layer on last, over whatever base outfit got picked first.
The decorating half pulls this away from a straight celebrity makeover game, since the room around her changes the mood of the photo as much as the dress does, and a round ends with a staged shot of the finished room and outfit together, not just a close-up portrait.
The room's color palette is worth setting before the outfit gets chosen, since a red vanity suggests a bolder gown than a pastel one would. Fewer props around the edges of the room keep the outfit as the focus of the final photo. Lighting pieces sit at the bottom of the furniture tab and are easy to miss, but they change the whole tone of the shot once everything locks in.
How do you play and control Movie Star?
Click furniture, props, and outfit pieces from the side panel and click again to place or equip them on the star or in the room.
Tap a tab to switch between room props and outfit pieces, then tap an item to drop it into the scene or onto the star.
