Smile Style

Smile Style starts with a princess figure standing in a plain slip in front of a rack of pastel gowns. The first choice is usually the gown itself, and picking one changes more than the dress: the throne room background behind her brightens or cools to match, so a blush pink gown pulls in warmer light than an icy blue one.

The wardrobe runs in tabs for gowns, hair, jewelry, and shoes. Inside are things like a satin ballgown with a sweetheart neckline, a tulle underskirt for extra volume, a jeweled tiara, drop earrings, a loose French braid, and a pair of glass slippers. Skirts and bodices come as separate pieces that layer together, so the shape of the gown changes depending on which underskirt sits beneath it.

The one thing this princess dress up game does differently is tie the whole scene's color palette to the gown instead of leaving the background static. A round ends with a finished portrait shot, the princess posed against whichever backdrop her gown pulled in, instead of a plain flat screenshot.

Choose the gown before anything else, since it decides the backdrop and limits which jewelry tones actually pop against it. Pair a pastel gown with soft hair like the braid instead of tight curls, which can visually crowd a light dress. Try warm gold jewelry against cool-toned gowns for contrast instead of matching metal to metal.
