First Day of School

Nerves are the whole setup: a bedroom mirror, a school bag by the door, and a character who needs to look ready before the bus arrives. The first pick is usually the outfit, a skirt or jeans paired with a top, and swapping it shifts the whole mood from rushed to put-together. First Day of School keeps every choice small and concrete.

The wardrobe splits into outfit, hair, makeup and accessory tabs. Outfit choices run from a pleated skirt and collared shirt to jeans and a graphic tee, with a cardigan to layer over the top. Hair options include a ponytail, a side braid or space buns. Makeup stays simple, a tinted lip balm and a touch of mascara instead of a full palette. Accessories cover the backpack, in colors and patches, plus the sneakers underneath.

The angle that separates this makeover game from a party or prom version is the ordinary setting: getting dressed for school instead of for a ball or a red carpet. A round ends with the character stepping out the front door, backpack on, ready for the bus, and the finished look carries into a short walking scene instead of stopping at a photo.

Keeping makeup light reads better here than piling on color, since the scene is meant to look like an actual school morning. Picking an accessory color that echoes one piece of the outfit, a patch that matches a shirt print, ties the look together. The cardigan option sits easy to miss under the main outfit menu, but layering it over a plain top adds one more finished detail.
