Popsy Surprise Maker opens on a wrapped box sitting center screen, and the first click cracks it open to reveal a base character with blank features. Choosing an eye shape or a skin tone from the ring of options around the box locks that trait in, and the character updates instantly, layer by layer, as more choices get made.

Traits sit in a ring of small dial-like categories: eye shapes, hairstyles from a blunt bob to a high pigtail, a row of blush and lipstick shades, then outfit pieces like a puffy-sleeve top or a pleated skort. Each dial spins independently, so a bold lipstick shade can sit under a pastel hairstyle without the game forcing a matching palette.

The twist this character creator adds on top of a normal mix-and-match screen is the box itself, since spinning certain dials in sequence unlocks a bonus accessory that only shows up after enough traits are locked in. A finished character gets revealed on a card-style results screen, full look shown off against a plain backdrop.
