The game opens in a salon chair with a client waiting and a row of stations along the bottom of the screen. You start at the wash basin, since the game walks you through shampooing before anything else. You drag your finger or cursor across the hair to scrub, rinse, and the suds actually appear where you touch. Once the hair is clean, the client hops to the styling chair and the real choices begin.

The toolkit covers the whole salon. There are scissors and a trimmer for cuts, combs, a curling iron, a straightener, and a dye station with a shelf of colors from natural browns to blues and pinks. Around that sit smaller stations: nail polish in glossy shades, little rings and stickers, and finishing touches like headbands. Hair pieces layer over the base cut, so you can braid, clip, or pin things on top of whatever shape you trimmed. Each station has its own set of tools laid out in a tray, and you pick the tool first, then apply it.

The thing that separates this makeover game from the usual click-and-done dressers is that every tool works with a motion, not a menu click. You saw the scissors back and forth to cut, hold the dryer to blow the hair into shape, and paint each nail stroke by stroke. When you are finished, the client turns to the camera for a final look, and you can keep going back to any chair to fix or redo a detail before you call it done.

Work in salon order and the result holds together: wash, cut, then color, because dye shows up differently on short hair than long. Try trimming the ends first and then curling, since the curling iron adds bounce to whatever length is left. And check the nails before you finish, because it is easy to leave the tray on the default polish color without noticing.
