Princess Banquet Practical Joke

The banquet is built in stages: laying the table with linens, crockery and a centrepiece, arranging a small practical joke among it, then dressing for the meal in court clothing. Each stage's results stay visible in the next.

The joke gives the setting-up stage a point beyond decoration, and it stays light rather than mean. Dressing last means the outfit answers to a table you already laid. Cheerful, a bit mischievous and a change of tone from the straight banquet games.
