Princess Fiona Dressup

Fiona stands on a dock between a stone balcony and open water when Princess Fiona Dressup begins, and the first choice is which half of her world you dress for. Pick the castle path and you start from a fitted bodice; pick the lagoon path and her legs melt into a fin instead of a skirt. Either way the top half stays open for jewelry and hair, so the split only changes what happens below the waist.

The categories run along the top: bodices and tops, then skirts or tails, then a cluster of magic effects like sparkle trails and a glowing shell necklace, then hair and crowns last. A coral-pink tail with a scalloped fin, a pearl-strand belt, a wrap of seafoam fabric, and a few wave-shaped hair clips all sit ready to combine, and most of the magic effects layer directly over an outfit rather than replacing it.

The swap between fin and skirt is the one move that separates this from a standard princess dress up game, since the same top can finish two completely different silhouettes. A session usually ends with Fiona posed on the dock in her finished look, tail or gown, with the water and sparkle effects still moving behind her.

Match the sparkle color to the tail rather than the top, since that is the part of the outfit closest to the water effects behind her. Try the wrap over a plain bodice before reaching for a busier print, because the wave clips already add enough detail to the hair. Switching between tail and skirt mid-session is worth doing at least once, since some jewelry pieces sit differently on each.
