Princess Holiday Choice opens on a princess standing in her room, already half-packed for a holiday. Her hair is plain and her nails are bare, so the game walks you through a spa step first. You tap through small tasks like washing and drying her hair, and each finished task snaps her appearance into the next stage. Within a minute you are at the main menu, picking which part of the look to work on next.

The wardrobe is split into tabs: hair, nail art, dresses, shoes and accessories. The hair tab offers long waves, a braided crown, a high ponytail and color tints you can stack over any base style. Nails get their own screen with shapes, polishes and tiny patterns you paint one finger at a time. Dresses run from airy summer gowns to short travel outfits, and jewelry, hats and bags layer over whatever dress you picked, so nothing gets hidden.

The thing this game does differently is sequencing. Most dress up games drop you straight into the closet, but here the spa phase locks in your hair and nails before you ever see a dress, so the whole look has to be planned from the start. When you finish, the game shows a holiday snapshot of the princess in her complete outfit, and you can save that picture as the final result.

Work in the order the game gives you, because your nail colors will sit next to the dress in the final photo and clashing shades are hard to fix later. Try a braided crown with a sleeveless gown; the braid reads clearly against bare shoulders. Before you save the snapshot, check the accessories tab once more, since a small hat or necklace is the easiest detail to leave off by accident.
