What is Ava Home Cleaning?
The room opens covered in dust, cobwebs in the corners and clutter piled on every table. Ava Home Cleaning starts you off with a sponge and a duster, and each swipe clears a patch of grime so the wallpaper underneath shows through. Wipe enough of a wall and the color changes instantly, which is the first sign that cleaning here doubles as decorating.
The toolkit splits into three tabs. One holds cleaning gear: a spray bottle, a mop, a feather duster, a scrub brush for stubborn stains. Another holds furniture and decor: a striped area rug, a potted fern, a gallery of framed prints, curtains in a handful of colors. The last tab is Ava's own closet, with a ruffled apron, rubber gloves, a knotted headscarf and a pair of house slippers, all of which layer over her base outfit without hiding the pieces underneath.
What separates this dress up game from a straight makeover is the order of tasks: the room has to be wiped down before the decorating tools do much good, since dust and smudges show through new furniture and paint alike. A round ends with the room fully furnished and Ava dressed for it, and the game lets you snap a photo of the finished space before you move to the next room.
Start with the biggest visible mess first, since a half-cleaned wall leaves patchy color even after you paint over it. Match the rug and curtains before touching the wall art, since framed prints look intentional only once the bigger pieces already share a color. Switch back to the closet tab last so Ava's outfit picks up whatever accent color you settled on for the room.
