Fairy Princess Dressup

Wings, a jeweled crown, and bare feet on a mossy backdrop greet a fairy character at the opening screen of Fairy Princess Dressup. The gown usually goes on first, since it sets the color palette that the wings and crown then need to match. Every choice appears on the fairy right away, turning a plain sprite into something closer to a storybook page.

The toolkit splits into gowns and separates, wings in butterfly or dragonfly shapes, hair styled into loose curls or a braided crown, and headpieces ranging from a simple flower band to a tall jeweled tiara. Magical extras sit in their own row: wands, sparkle trails, a scattering of stars, sometimes a small mermaid tail piece for a scene set near water. Pieces layer, so a cape can go over a gown and a flower garland can sit on top of loose hair without hiding it.

The pull in this princess dress up game over a plain gown-and-crown routine is the scenery layer sitting behind the fairy: a grotto, a moonlit garden, or a shoreline that gets decorated with flowers, lanterns, or shells to match the outfit. A round usually closes with the dressed fairy standing in her finished scene, saved or screenshotted rather than scored against a rival.

Wings and background color work best chosen before the gown, since those two pieces are harder to change once small props layer on top. Sparkle and star effects read best applied last, over a finished outfit, instead of underneath a cape that will just cover them. Matching a mermaid tail piece to a shoreline scene ties the water theme together instead of leaving it stranded on a garden backdrop.
