Sue Summer Fashion

Sue starts the round already in a plain swimsuit, sandals on, standing against a sunny backdrop that hasn't been chosen yet. Sue Summer Fashion opens with the base look already set, so the first real choice is a cover-up or a sun hat, and picking a loud print early changes how bold the rest of the outfit needs to be to match it.

The options split into swimwear, cover-ups, and a beach-accessory row: a ruffled bikini top, a sheer kimono cover-up, round sunglasses, a straw tote. A row of backdrops and props leans on the decorating side of things, a striped towel, a row of palm trees, a beach ball, so the scene changes with the outfit. Jewelry and sun hats layer on top of a finished swimsuit instead of swapping it out, so more than one accessory can sit on a look at once.

A lot of summer-themed rounds treat the beach as scenery only, but here the backdrop counts as part of the styling: swapping the palm-tree scene for a sunset one changes which swimsuit colors actually pop against it. This fashion and runway game ends with Sue posed against the finished scene, the full look saved as one image or cleared for another try.

Layer the cover-up over a solid swimsuit instead of a patterned one, since two busy prints next to each other tend to blur in the finished shot. Pick the backdrop before the accessories, because sunglasses that read fine against a plain background can vanish against a busier scene like the palm row. Try warm accessory tones against cool swimsuit colors, since matching everything to one shade tends to flatten the look.
