The game starts in a salon chair with a pop star waiting in it, hair down to her shoulders, and a set of styling tools lined up along the bottom of the screen. The first choice is usually a wash, since clean hair takes color better in this one. You run the water, then the shampoo, and she reacts with a small expression change when you get the steps in the right order. From there the chair becomes your workstation and everything else is a tool you pick up.

The toolkit is bigger than the average makeover game gives you. There are scissors for cuts, a straightener, a curling iron, several dye bottles, hair clips, and grow-back potion if a cut goes badly wrong. Past the hair tabs sit a nail station with polish colors and little decals, plus a makeup section with glitter eyeshadow and a matte lipstick. The hair layers work in stages: color first, then cut, then accessories, and the tools actually change what the hair model does rather than snapping on a preset photo.

The standout feature is the photo shoot at the end. Once styling is done, the star steps in front of cameras and flashing lights, and your finished hair and nail work gets judged on screen before you save the shot. That gives the whole session a goal most salon games skip.

Get a better score by cutting before you color, because a trim after dye undoes the color along the cut line. The curling iron holds a wave much longer if you section the hair first instead of curling big chunks. And the clips tab is easy to miss tucked behind the dye bottles, yet one or two clips is what pushes a look from plain to stage-ready.
