What is Cute Pony Care?
A small pony stands in the middle of the screen, visibly worse for wear: mud splatters, leaves in its mane, a scrape on one leg. Your first job is the bath, so you drag the hose over the coat and watch the mud rinse away in streaks. Bubbles follow, then a towel dry. The screen shows little dirt spots until you scrub each one, so you always know what is left. It works like a care game with a treatment phase before any of the pretty stuff happens.
The toolkit is split into cleaning, doctoring and decorating. Cleaning covers the hose, soap, a brush and a comb for the mane. The doctor table holds bandages, ointment and a thermometer, and each treatment targets a marked spot on the body. Once the pony is healthy, the decorating menu opens up with mane bows, saddle blankets and accessories in a few colors. Items snap onto the pony in place, so nothing floats or overlaps badly.
The thing this one does differently is that care comes first and stays mandatory. You cannot reach the dress-up items until every scrape is treated and every dirt spot is gone, which gives the round a clear checklist instead of an open wardrobe. A round ends with a clean, cheerful pony trotting in place with all your chosen accessories on, and the game marks each completed care step as you go.
Start with the hooves and tail, since those spots are the easiest to miss and the game will not advance while they are dirty. Use the ointment before the bandage on any scrape, or the bandage will not stick. For the finale, match the mane bow color to the saddle blanket, because the pony is small and two clashing colors read as noise.
