Two plain figures stand on a bare stage when Avatar The Way Of Love opens, and the first thing you do is pick a hairstyle for each one. A round ends with a snapshot of the finished scene, couple and furniture together, not a lone figure against a plain backdrop.

Pick the room before the outfits, since the wall color and furniture set a palette that is easier to match than to fight against afterward. Keep the two outfits in the same color family, even a shade apart, so the couple reads as a pair instead of two people who happened to stand next to each other. The camera angle button near the corner of the screen is easy to miss, and rotating it shows off details on the back of a jacket or a chair that the default view hides.
